A poetic exploration of the presence of the Roman goddess Diana in the historical Dutch palace Paleis Het Loo, Apeldoorn. Expounding on the elusive nature of Diana, goddess of the hunt and protectress of the forest, this book unpacks current and historical notions of hunting, the nature-culture split in western societies, and the role of Greek and Roman mythological figures in contemporary life.

Diana is a limited edition artwork composed for the forest wanderer, animal advocate, or lover of Roman mythology.

The printed book is companion to the limited edition (108 bottles) perfume, Diana, commissioned by Paleis Het Loo and created by Marianna Maruyama in the context of the exhibition State of Wander: Towards Environmental Restoration, curated by Anna Bitkina (supported by the Mondriaan Fund).
