The project began in March 2023 at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Artisti in guerra.
NOUVEAUX PHONOGRAMMES is a collective mail art project curated by Achille Filipponi. The project will move on the thematic grid of war* understood in every possible sense and will involve artists, curators, poets, writers and philosophers from around the world. The editorial project will be composed exclusively of faxes received by the fax, and will feed into a collective artist’s book published by Paint It black.

The project brings together artists, poets, critics, curators, writers, and philosophers from around the world. Participants were invited to submit their contributions via fax to two different phone numbers. The faxes, collected between March and October 2025, constitute the pages of this collective artist’s book.

NOUVEAUX PHONOGRAMMES is the activation of a collective visual system on the inevitability of internal and external conflict between (and within) human beings, it is the construction of intermedial research on the enigma and the poisonous drama of war.
