01 IRENE FENARA
Irene Fenara’s work explores the act of looking, focusing in particular on the vision of machines. Through the observation of images produced by surveillance devices - tools originally designed for control and security - the artist highlights how these images paradoxically generate new forms of insecurity. The visuals produced by such technologies are often distorted, poorly defined, and marked by visual and chromatic errors. Fenara interprets these mechanical gazes as genuine perceptual acts, capable of transforming reality and introducing us to a parallel, enigmatic, and deeply contemporary universe.
This project was realized in collaboration with galleria ZERO...Milano, MACTE Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Termoli, Karussell.
